Waiting for Nick and Considering Kate by Nora Roberts

These two books Waiting for Nick and Considering Kate by Nora Roberts are ones that have been re-released. I have yet to find someone who doesn’t like Nora Roberts. My sister is hooked on her futuristic series that she writes under the name J.D. Robb.

Waiting for Nick is a story of working out the differences and not giving up when things get hard. Nick and Frederica (Fred) team up to write the music and lyrics for a Broadway musical. Working together in close quarters day in and out they learn more about each other and give in to the physical attraction between them. From the beginning Fred wants Nick but Nick tries to resist because of his past association with a gang. When the gang makes an appearance in his life again he pushes Fred away, and then has to fix it. This book is not all serious and one scene in particular had me laughing so hard on my commute home that the people around me probably thought I was crazy. Nick was bragging to his brother that he got to meet his brother’s favorite actress and kissed her as well, so his brother grabs him and kisses him because that is the closest he’s ever going to get kissed by his favorite actress.

Considering Kate is another story of two people from two different social classes falling in love. Kate is retiring from her profession as a ballerina to teach dancing classes. She returns home and buys a building that needs to be rehabbed. She hires Brody, a single father, to do the rehab. They are immediately attracted but he doesn’t want to get involved with a client. Kate gets that being a great Dad to his son is the most important thing to him, but she also pushes him to see that he can have it all, his son, his business, and her. This one has lots of fun scenes that only can happen with a 6-year old.

Happy reading!
