Summer Lovin’ a romance novel by Carly Phillips

I love Carly Phillips’ writing style! She writes fun easy to read stories that will make you laugh. And who doesn’t like to laugh. This is a story that shows that even if you have an unusual family that love is always the most important part of family.

Samantha (Sam) is a 14 year old foster child of the Costas family (soon to be adopted by them), who barely remembers her mother, but has found the perfect fit with her foster family. She has 2 older sisters, Zoe and Ariana, now and is close to them both despite a 15 year age gap. Zoe, an ex secret service agent, is starting up her own security business. Ryan Baldwin has been searching for his sister for over a decade. She ran away from home and disappeared. Ryan finds out that she was killed and that she had a daughter. Ryan finally finds his niece in foster care and rushes in to save her from his assumed horrible situation, when he walks in and finds that her foster family is everything and more that his family is not. They are loving where his is very straight laced and uptight. Zoe and Ryan are immediately attracted to each other but don’t want to act on it because they both want Sam to be apart of their family. They fall in love while trying to figure out what is best for Sam. During all of this there is a mystery of who is stalking Sam that Zoe and Ryan work together to figure out.

Summer Lovin’ is a typical Carly Phillips novel, which means it has one fun scene after another. Sam’s pet pig surprises most people. Ryan tries to help Sam with her pig and inadvertently digs up a bunch of daffodil bulbs. Spank, the monkey, likes to moon people. Gosh there are too many fun scenes to pick from.

Until next time
